Another action-packed day

Will there ever be such a thing as puke hurling?

Scores were being racked up for fun all over Ireland today in the Allianz Hurling Leagues with just the 55 (fifty-five) of those coming down in Cork.

Despite leading 4-19 to 0-19 at a stage, the Rebels weren’t home and hosed as Tipp rallied with a 2-9 salvo to Cork’s 0-2 in the closing 20 minutes to incredibly run out 2-28 to 4-21 winners, a one-point difference.

Kilkenny might not have made the quarter finals but they put down a frightening reminder that they’re still, you know, Kilkenny as they edged out Clare 2-20 to 2-19. And the pair will now do it all again in a relegation playoff next week.

Meanwhile, Dublin stayed in Division 1A with an impressive win over Galway, powering home at Parnell with a 0-26 to 2-14 victory.

The league quarter finals will take place next weekend on the 28/29 March and the fixtures are as follows.

Saturday/Sunday, March 28/29

Tipperary v Offaly
Cork v Wexford
Dublin v Limerick
Galway v Waterford
