Fair play lads.
It’s a big day for NUIG. It’s Sigerson Cup final day. It’s the first time NUIG have reached the competition’s final in 15 years.
With that in mind, you would have excused the players for feeling nervous and tense when they woke up this morning.
But, as the Galway side set off on the journey to Dublin this morning, they still found time to help push a broken down car to safety. Fair play to them for doing it – that’s their good deed done for the day and they can stride into the heat of battle later feeling a bit better about life.Â
Very gentlemanly behaviour indeed. In fact, pushing a car wouldn’t be a bad way of loosening the muscles a bit on the morning of a big match.
It takes a few to shift a car, too, so it would have required teamwork. All in all, a fairly useful exercise just hours before they take on UCD at Santry Avenue.
The decider throws in at 3.30pm and we’ll have coverage on SportsJOE later today. You can also watch the match via the YouTube live stream below. It’s set to be a cracker. Here’s hoping pushing that car didn’t take too much out of the NUIG lads.
