Munster club final, Ulster club final and county action – The GAA TV schedule is spoiling us this weekend

Lee Costello

Munster and Ulster titles are there to be won this weekend.

Another weekend of GAA action will grace your TV screens including the Munster and Ulster provincial club football championship finals.

First up however, it’s Galway vs Roscommon in the FBD Connacht League final, just to whet your appetite for an epic Sunday of football.

Kerry champions Austin Stacks then go head to head against the Cork kingpins St Finbarr’s in the Munster final at Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Stacks were undoubtedly the overlord of Kerry, and with a seemingly evergreen Kieron Donaghy leading the line for them, they will be chomping at the bit for provincial glory, although the Barrs have been playing some excellent stuff and will be tough to beat.

Then top of your weekend, we have the Ulster final between Fermanagh’s Derrygonnelly and all-conquering Kilcoo team from Down.

Kilcoo are technically the reigning champions, having won the last Ulster title before the pandemic, and they will want to keep it that way.

However, Derrygonnelly have been hugely impressive in Ulster so far with Conall Jones in particular lighting up the Ulster championship, not least with a memorable performance against Dromore.

Friday

Galway v Roscommon, 6pm – Sport TG4 YouTube, (Deferred coverage TG4, 7.30pm) – FBD Connacht League final.

Sunday

Austin Stacks (Kerry) v St Finbarr’s (Cork), 1.45pm – TG4 – AIB Munster SFC club final.

Kilcoo (Down) v Derrygonnelly Harps (Fermanagh), 3.45pm – TG4 – AIB Ulster SFC club final.
