Meath will only release a new away jersey for 2018

Conan Doherty

It’s a real golden era in Meath… jersey-wise.

Year after year, they keep coming back and they keep producing.

When they’re written off, when they’re willed against by the rest of the country, the Royal county step up time and time again and, in the face of constant adversity, naysayers and begrudgers, they deliver. One jersey at a time.

The move away from Tayto as the main jersey sponsor in Meath had critics lining up predicting the downfall of their kit designs. They were wrong.

So wrong in fact that they’re going to stick with that same home effort for 2018.

They will, however, boast a brand spanking new away jersey and, frankly, it is marvellous. It’s royal.

It has turned heads all over Meath.

Greats have come to a standstill.

They’re talking about it in the streets.

Leaked images of the new jersey were obtained by SportsJOE and the the thing really is worth talking about. And shouting about. And wearing.

The kit hasn’t been announced or revealed yet but it will be available for fans later in the month.

A white design, green and gold stripes, it’s a pristine piece of knitwear that geansaí-lovers from beyond Meath will be looking to get hold of.
