Big moves.

St Vincent’s ambitions of wresting back the Dublin county senior football crown from Ballyboden St Enda’s have been handed a major boost.

The Dublin club, who already boast the talents of Diarmuid Connolly and Tomas Quinn, as well as Shane Carthy, have now added three inter-county footballers to their ranks.

According to the Irish Times, Mayo forward Enda Varley, who featured in the county’s All-Ireland final loss to Donegal in 2012, has been added to the club, while Westmeath’s Lorcan Smyth, and ex-Galway forward Fiachra Breathnach, are also linking up with the 2013 and 2014 Dublin champions.

All three are understood to have been living and working in Dublin for some time, but have only now decided to throw their lot in with the former All-Ireland club champions.

St Vincent’s currently also have Sligo’s Brendan Egan as part of their club panel.
