This is pretty despicable stuff.
Conal Keaney put his heart, soul and a hell of a lot else into representing Dublin in football and hurling.
The Ballyboden St Enda’s man got his first taste of intercounty life as a Dublin hurler, in 2003. He made his name, next, as a forward with Dublin’s footballers, claiming a National League title and five Leinster titles.
He switched back to the hurlers in 2011 and helped that side win a league title and claim the Leinster crown, in 2013.
Keaney retired from the intercounty game last year but continues to line out for the club side. A dual player for Ballyboden, he won the All-Ireland Club Championship with them in 2016.
A healthy collection of medals but, as of this week, Keaney is short three of them. Included in the stolen trio is the All-Ireland club medal he won on St Patrick’s Day last year.
This afternoon, in an effort to raise awareness and get the prized keepsakes back, the GAA Hour pundit posted this picture to Twitter.

His post has sparked a wave of retweets and online appeals to get the medals back.
