Lord Mayor of Dublin teases Kerry Mayor over drive for five

Dublin Lord Mayor Paul McAuliffe has teased his Kerry counterpart Niall Kelleher about Dublin's drive for five as Jim Gavin's side bid for their fifth consecutive All-Ireland title against Kerry next weekend.

Dublin will play Kerry in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park next Sunday in what is a replay of the 2015 All-Ireland final where the Dubs prevailed by three points.

It's Kerry's first final since that meeting and mayor McAuliffe wanted to remind Kelleher just what was at stake after inviting him and his wife to stay as guests in the Mansion House for that weekend.

"There i5 5ure to be plenty of banter between your kingdom and my city ahead of the Men5 All Ireland Football Final," the letter reads.

"But banter a5ide we are a city of welcome5 and it would be my plea5ure to have you and your wife 5tay a5 our gue5t5 in the Man5ion Hou5e that weekend."

Kelleher originally put McAuliffe on notice with a social media post on his own Facebook after Kerry's semi-final win over Tyrone earlier this month.

"Kerry are in the All Ireland Final.. Watch out Paul McAuliffe we’re coming for ye...."
