All-Ireland semi-finals confirmed as quarter-final group stage draws to a close

Jack O'Toole

Dublin will play Galway and Monaghan will play either Donegal or Tyrone in this year’s All-Ireland semi-finals.

14-man Galway slumped to an eight-point defeat to 13-man Monaghan in Salthill while Kerry crushed Kildare in Killarney but it was not enough after Monaghan’s win dumped the Kingdom out of this year’s championship.

Drew Wylie and Colin Walshe were both red carded for Monaghan for multiple bookings while Damien Comer was given his marching orders in added time for Galway.

Meanwhile in Kerry Mick O’Grady was shown red for Kildare as they finished their Super 8s campaign winless from three games.

Dublin will play Roscommon in Croke Park while Tyrone will heady to Ballybofey to play Donegal tomorrow in the final round of group stage games.

FULL-TIME: Monaghan 0-16 Galway 0-8

FULL-TIME: Kerry 3-25 Kildare 2-16

Saturday 11 August (5pm) Dublin v Galway, Croke Park, Sky Sports/RTE
