Even the youngsters can hurl in the Premier County.

In Tipperary, hurling isn’t just a sport, it’s so much more than that. From the senior intercounty team right down to underage level, it is an art form.

Case and point, the u12 match between Borris-Ileigh and Holycross Ballycahill. There is one highlight doing the rounds online from that game and when you see it, you’ll understand why it’s been going viral.

In the footage below, you’ll see a Holycross player perfectly picking the ball up, bearing down on goal and unleashing an absolute rocket of a shot. The point-blank effort seemed destined to crash into the roof of the net. However, Cathal Kennedy had other ideas.

The Borris-ileagh goalkeeper stuck his hurl high in the sky and kept the rasper out. The shot was good, it’s just that the save was better. To cap it all off, Borris-ileagh won the county final.

Check out the moment of pure magic below.
