According to the Irish Examiner, Galway footballer Seán Fitzgerald is on the shortlist to take part on the British reality TV show Love Island.
The annual dating programme is set to take place in Majorca on ITV, June 1.
You can watch Fitzgerald's audition tape from February below.
The 25-year-old primary school teacher was not part of Galway's match-day squad for their Connacht SFC final defeat against Roscommon.
The defender is yet to make an appearance for the Tribesmen since last months provincial semi-final victory against Leitrim.
Fitzgerald is already known for his social media presence primarily on TikTok and the full back is signed to Marvel, an Irish talent programme and influencer management agency.
Love Island has always included a strong Irish presence since it's conception in 2005, including popular Irish athletes such as Dylan Towolawi, who appeared in season six, as well as ex-Ireland sevens rugby star Greg O'Shea, who won the competition.
Speaking to RSVP, the Bearna clubman talked about the best piece of advice he has ever received.
Fitzgerald said: "Two bits of advice from over the years have stuck with me. The first is, ‘Don’t care about what anyone thinks’. If I cared about what other people thought of me, I would not be where I am today.
"The amount of confidence and self worth you gain from not caring about what other people think is honestly scary.
"Whenever I doubt myself in life, whether it’s sport-related or otherwise, I say this to myself in my head. It’s simple, positive self-talk that reminds me I am good enough to do whatever it is I’m doing.”
Galway will play Kildare in the first round of the All-Ireland in Pearse Stadium Saturday week. They will have to wait until June 13/14th for their second round clash.
Will they be without Seán Fitzgerald?
