GAA community in absolute shock at the sudden passing of Down man Peter Turley

Conan Doherty

Just heartbreaking.

Saval GAC, all of county Down and the entire GAA community are in mourning this evening to learn of the sudden passing of Peter Turley.

Turley played at midfield with Queen’s University Belfast in both their 2005 and 2006 Sigerson Cup final losses to IT Sligo and DCU.

His untimely passing occured on Sunday and it has left gaels far and wide shellshocked to learn of the news.

Our Executive Committee and entire Club Community wish to extend our sincere sympathies to the Turley Family following the death of Peter. Our Prayers and Thoughts are with his Family, Friends,

Turley’s namesake, from Downpatrick, is part of the current county panel.

The Saval club member, a former student of Abbey Grammar School, has been taken far too soon and floods of tributes are being paid in his memory.

We offer our deepest sympathies to his family, his club and all his friends and fellow Down gaels.
