Free championship haircuts going at Croke Park this Sunday

Get there early as there could be quite the queue.

This Sunday, hurling fans from Galway, Limerick and Limerick will converge on Croke Park for the All-Ireland minor and senior hurling finals.

Galway and Limerick will do battle for the Liam MacCarthy trophy from 3:30pm but, first up, the minor final.

Galway and Kilkenny (1pm throw-in) is live on TG4 and for those lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket. For those going to the games, though, and added bonus – free championship haircuts.

Electric Ireland is ‘highlighting the major significance of GAA players’ pre-game ritual, ‘The Championship Haircut’ by offering complimentary haircuts’ ahead of the minor final. An Electric Ireland release reads:

‘The Championship Haircut has become a part of many GAA player’s pre-game prep ahead of a major game. To celebrate this ritual, Electric Ireland has teamed up with four expert barbers, to offer haircuts to Minors, their friends, families and fans in Croke Park the morning of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final.

‘Fans can choose from a selection of styles from ‘The Hurling Helmet’ to ‘The Minor Fade’ with a dry cut or fringe trim for ladies, just inside the turnstiles on the Cusack Stand Side of Croke Park from 11.30am on Sunday.’

There is truly no better way to show your support than by getting a haircut and looking as fresh as damn well possible.
