Finally, Gaelic football is returning to our TV screens – what’s on and where?

Put that lawnmower back in the shed, slap the lid back on that tin of paint and cancel any other weekend chores or plans you may have, because your TV is calling you.

At long last the big ball is back on the tube as the Allianz National football league is officially starting this Saturday.

This is the most optimistic that any county fan can be because as of right now, anything is possible – promotion, trophies, derby wins, eternal glory; it’s all up for grabs.

Where better to start than at the Kingdom itself, as Kerry will host Galway on eir sport at 3pm Saturday. Galway already got off to a flyer in the hurling when they trampled Westmeath, and a win against the green and gold would make it a fortnight to remember.

Cork also take on Kildare in a division two clash, but the mouth-watering tie will be on TG4 when the two titans of Ulster lock horns once again, as Tyrone host Donegal at 5pm.

Don’t get off the sofa just yet as the hurling is still on as well, with Tipperary taking on Cork and Galway trying their luck against the champions Limerick.
