Kerry have named their team for Dublin clash

They're really going for it

Ben Kiely

A Dublin vs Kerry game is always a little bit special.

At 4 pm on Sunday, the two most successful teams in senior football All-Ireland history wll do battle on Croke Park’s hallowed ground.

Dublin will be without 2017 All-Star defender Michael Fitzsimons for the game. Fitzsimons was sent off near the end of the win over Mayo in the Lion’s Den for a mistimed challenge on Aidan O’Shea. He was handed a one-match suspension for the infraction.

The Sky Blues opted to appeal the sanction, but adverse weather conditions meant the hearing was delayed for a week. It took place last night and the ban was upheld.

The Dublin team will be named on Saturday, but Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s squad was announced on Friday evening.

Michael Burns, Sean O’Shea, Adrian Spillane, Paul Geaney, Kevin McCarthy and David Clifford are the front six in a very attacking team for the Kingdom.
