Clare Hurler Brendan Bulger announces inter-county retirement

Clare hurler Brendan Bulger has announced his inter-county retirement.

The decorate player released a statement on Wednesday announcing his retirement from the sport:

“I wish to confirm that I am retiring from inter-county hurling with Clare.
“Thank you to everyone who has helped me on my journey along the way. 
“I would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank my family and friends, teammates and management teams in Whitegate, Scariff Community College, University of Limerick and Clare,” the statement concluded.
Bulger has had an illustrious career with the Banner that included:
  • Two All-stars
  • One Division one National League title
  • One Fitzgibbon Cup
  • One Division 1B National Hurling title
  • One Interprovincial Hurling title
  • One All-Ireland Hurling title
