Westmeath county board are in desperate need for money.

The Leinster outfit are in dire financial straits so it should be no major surprise that they are taking every available euro of cash being offered to them. Even it that means slapping the name of a local sponsor on the county grounds, that for decades has been known, and loved, as Cusack Park in Mullingar. The county board owe almost €200,000 euro according to their financial statement issued at the end of last year, and in an attempt to try and cut back on that dire bottom line, the county board announced last night that Cusack Park is being renamed as TEG Cusack Park. TEG are understood to be a local engineering company who paid paid what is understood to be a significant sum for the naming rights for the next five years . https://twitter.com/westmeath_gaa/status/687727611909398529?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw The money involved is likely to go along way to helping the county clear its massive debt, https://twitter.com/willocallaghan/status/687944301653934080 https://twitter.com/willocallaghan/status/687744605996101633
