It’s set up for an amazing summer of Gaelic football!
The draw has been made for this year’s All-Ireland SFC round-robin phase, with 16 teams still left to battle it out for the Sam Maguire.
It is a fairly open tournament this year, even more so after Dublin’s defeat to Meath in the Leinster SFC at the weekend, their first loss in 15 years, which puts them as third seeds, setting up a potential group of death.
Kerry looked to be the frontrunners after winning the league in style, but were ran close by an unheralded Cork side in recent weeks.
They do remain favourites, however, while Jim McGuinness’s Donegal charges , reigning champions Armagh, and battle-hardened Galway side, all harbour serious title ambitions.

The seedings coming into today’s draw were as follows, with the provincial finals to be played out in the coming weeks to decide the first and second seeds.

What happens after the All-Ireland round robin
When the group stage has concluded, the four group winners will progress into the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
The runner ups and third-place teams will meet in preliminary quarter-finals, where the four winners will then progress to the main quarters as unseeded teams.
