WATCH: RTÉ really bottled their pronunciation of Joachim Löw ahead of Ireland game

It's not that hard

Darragh Murphy

When in doubt, mumble.

We were led to believe that Joachim Löw name is pronounced Jogi Luhv or something to that effect.

RTÉ presenter Darragh Maloney bottled it at the very last second when he was introducing the German manager ahead of Ireland’s Euro 2016 qualifier at the Aviva.

Somehow, Maloney managed to sneak an M into Löw as he went for a more Merve pronunciation.

It shouldn’t be that funny. But it is.
