Manchester United’s greatest chant-maker has an absolute doozy for Alexis Sanchez

Forget 'Oh mane, mane' - this guy is special

Nooruddean Choudry

Manchester United

Another classic.

He’s renowned as a master of his art. Some refer to him as the Bob Dylan of Old Trafford. Whatever your footballing allegiances, there’s no doubting his unique ability to catch the mood of the terraces with his instantly catchy ditties. Now the ‘Bard of Sir Matt Busby Way’ has created another belting composition for Manchester United’s latest new star.

The Artist simply known as ‘Bashy‘ by his thousands of followers on social media is something of a ‘super fan’ of his beloved Red Devils, and has taken to welcoming new signings to the club with rousing songs of all of their own. Forget the flashy club announcements featuring pianos, famous grime artists and flashy efforts – a Bashy special is the ultimate seal of approval.

Bashy is no stranger to internet fame due to his songwriting abilities. His composition for Swedish defender Victor ‘Jonny’ Lindelöf – very loosely based on Europe’s The Final Countdown – went viral in the summer, and it’s easy to see why…

And then who can forget this classic to celebrate the signing of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea…

Now Bashy has done it again, with this slice of musical brilliance to mark the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal – from under the noses of fierce rivals Manchester City…

Whilst the reasons for his apparent facial injuries remain unclear, there are rumours they are a result of an altercation with another Manchester United fan who claims he is the club’s number one chant-maker, and has taken exception to Bashy’s recent success. For his part, Bashy – whose other interests include pugs, eating, and darts legend Steve Beaton – is focusing on getting the Red Army singing for their heroes. He’s doing a pretty good job!
