God we miss this man and his trickery

Damien Duff is now earning a crust in Australia with Melbourne City and this morning’s he’s just scored his first goal for his new club as they beat Newcastle Jets 5-2.

The former Republic of Ireland man has been out injured for a couple of weeks with a calf problem but didn’t show any ill-effects with a fantastic display.

Duff was instrumental in winning a first half penalty after a typically tricky run was stopped in the box by Allan Welsh.

He then scored with a powerful shot after a corner broke to him in the box

And his cross from the right led to Melbourne’s fourth of the evening to cap a very impressive return to action for the Dubliner.
