Video: Venezuelan “Terminator” scores 40-yard Golazo

Talk about living up to your nickname

Neil Treacy

So THAT’S why they call him the Terminator.

Deportivo Tachira took on Cerro Porteno of Paraguay in a Copa Libertadores qualifier last night (you mean you didn’t already know?), with the Venezuelans winning 2-1, with a fair bit of help from this Jorge Rojas screamer.

Rojas, nicknamed the Terminator, picked up the ball deep (and I mean deep) in the opposition half, before unleashing an absolute sledgehammer of a drive with his left foot from at least 40 yards or so out.

If the strike alone wasnt enough, it also crashed in off the underside of the crossbar, improving the goal tenfold.

On the replay, you can see just how much welly he gave it. The keeper didn’t know a thing about it until it.
