If you're a Liverpool fan then the mere mention of Selhurst Park will probably be more than enough to make you break out in a cold sweat. The Reds title charge last season came to a shuddering halt after conceding three goals in the final few minutes, having looked on course for a comfortable win midway through the second half. Surely the same thing couldn't happen again this year.
Tonight Manchester City were the visitors to London where they were hoping to keep up their pursuit of Chelsea as they faced Alan Pardew's side. Crystal Palace were also battling for the points knowing a win for the home side would see them effectively safe for another season so there was plenty to play for.
But the curse of Selhurst Park struck again for a side with title ambitions tonight, as firstly Glenn Murray scored what looked like an offside goal to give Palace the lead in the first half:
Things then went from bad to worse for City in the second half as Jason Puncheon curled into a beautiful free-kick to give Palace a 2-0 lead and effectively end any hope City had of retaining the title.

Yaya Toure did strike late to give City hope but it was a mere consolation as they title challenge came to a disastrous end after a third away defeat in-a-row.
