Video: K-League player scores carbon copy of James Rodriguez’s Puskas award winning golazo

Spooky

James Rodriguez might have the right to take this Seoul E-Land player to court for blatantly plagiarising his most famous goal.

The highlight of the Real Madrid star’s 2014 World Cup, and perhaps of the tournament in general, when Colombia took on Uruguay in the round of 16.

Rodriguez latched onto a clearing header and two heavenly touches later, the ball went crashing into Uruguayan net to cap off one of the finest wondergoals ever scored in the history of the competition. The Colombian’s phenomenal volley saw him beat off stiff competition from Ireland’s Stephanie Roche and Robin van Persie to claim the coveted Puskas award earlier this year.

Although we never thought we’d see the likes of it again, less than a year later the the magical moment was replicated in South Korea, during Seoul E-Land’s 3-2 away win at Gyeongnam.

Seoul E-Land striker Min-Kyu Joo produced an eerily similar golazo to that of James’ 2014 World Cup volley. Don’t take our word for it, check out both goals side by side in the video below.
