We’ve all been caught up in the moment of a goal, only to realise some time later that it’s been ruled out. However, not all of us have had TV cameras capture the embarrassing moment.
Genoa thumped Torino 5-1 last night to go 7th in the Serie A table, so the disallowed goal will probably already be forgotten about, but I’m sure Enrico Preziosi will constantly be reminded about it.
The Genoa President absolutely lost the plot when he thought his club had gone 2-0 in front. However, the referee’s whistle had gone well before the ball had even hit the net, with most people in the stadium realising straight away. Preziosi didn’t, however, continuing to dance around for quite some time before someone was eventually able to tell him it was still 1-0.
Also, he’s the club president, and his name starts with “Prez”. Am I the only one who finds this incredibly cool?
