Okay, we all know the Europa League is not the world’s most exhilerating competition but it does serve up at least one cracker of a goal every round.
Last time out it was Erik Lamela’s wonderful rabona strike for Spurs and last night it was Metalist Kharkiv’s Vasili Kobin who pulled off sometuhing extraordinary.
Playing against Legia Warsaw Kobin had lightning fast reactions to a ball that looped invitingly his way in the box and he absolutely nailed his overhead effort into the net.
As for the assist by Marco Torsiglieri, we’re going to be kind and say he meant it.
