After their memorable 4-2 victory over Manchester City, the United players took to Twitter.
Goals from Young, Fellaini, Carrick and Smalling were enough to cancel out Aguero’s double to claim victory for the Red Devils in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Unsurprisingly, the United players were in jovial spirits on social media after the impressive win in Old Trafford.
There was a lot of buzz around the atmosphere in Old Trafford.
This is an instinctive reaction from professional footballers nowadays. Thank the fans first. They’re the reason why you can kick a football around a pitch for astronomically high wages. Only thank God and the academy if you have enough characters left over.
I enjoyed that…
OT is a special place, especially on days like that. Sometimes 3 points means a little bit more. pic.twitter.com/129VNS4nux— Michael Carrick (@carras16) April 12, 2015
A brilliant afternoon! You can't beat Old Trafford for atmosphere when it's that noisy, our fans were immense… https://t.co/I5dBeiNVZP

De Gea went one step further by putting his translation in the same tweet.
The shot-stopper’s a crowd pleaser.
Proud to be Red, proud of these fans! Keep on! Orgulloso de ser Red, orgulloso de esta afición! Seguimos! pic.twitter.com/yk2t1oIQPi

The Red pride was almost palpable.
Nothing says “I love my club” quite like a clown nose emoji. “Manchester is red” was the over-riding message. It’s almost as if they were told to say it.
