Some of the Merseyside club's fans haven't taken it too well, either. Ramos has been accused of deliberately trying to injure Liverpool's top scorer in the time since, with hundreds of thousands signing as petition calling for the defender to be retrospectively banned as a result.
Ramos has received plenty of abuse on social media for the incident, but it now appears that it hasn't just been on social media. COPE network (via the Mirror) report that the 32-year-old and members of his family have been forced to change their phone numbers after receiving several threatening calls.

Ramos wished Salah a speedy recovery following his injury which appeared to rule him out of this summer's World Cup in Russia.

Posting on their Facebook page, they explained that Salah was on course to be fit in time for the tournament - Egypt's first World Cup since 1990 - with the recovery period anticipated to 'not exceed three weeks'.Quiz: Can you name every World Cup Golden Ball winner since 1998
