The French international could be on the move

Paul Pogba is really, really sure Alex Ferguson has gone now – he can head back to Manchester

The French midfielder, who has been at Juventus for the past two and a half seasons is signed up with the Serie A side until 2019 but what are contracts if not breakable in this dosh-filled game?

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, believes his player will not move during this transfer window but could be on the move during the summer. ‘Paul has always said he is not angry with Manchester United,’ he said. ‘So there is no personal grudge there. On the contrary, he holds Manchester United very dear and has very nice memories.’

Could the Premier League side be reunited with the former trainee? SportsKeeda certainly thinks so.

The Sun, however, are reporting of another agent – David de Gea’s – hinting about his player moving away from Manchester United during the summer. Stories about the Spanish goalkeeper moving to Real Madrid refuse to go away.

Manchester United v Liverpool - Premier League

The best of the pitiful rest includes an Aston Villa fire-sale on former Leeds midfielder Fabien Delph. The Villain’s contract is ticking down so his owners are looking to cash-in while they can. A Premier League side , possibly Liverpool, can snap him up for £4m, if they want. [The Telegraph]

Aston Villa v Arsenal - Premier League

Elsewhere, Arsenal look to be snooping on the Real Madrid sub’s bench for a midfield diamond. Asier Illarramendi cost Los Blancos £24m two years ago but has made the impression as a thumb-print on a granite block during his time in Madrid. ‘Asier is in our plans,’ declared Carlo Ancelotti before (presumably) spelling his surname out for any lingering reporters. What a host of Premier League clubs could do with, however, is Andre Schurrle. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is flirting [via the media], with Shaktar midfielder Douglas Costa, admits a “phenomenal” offer could prise the World Cup-winning attacker from Chelsea’s loose grasp.
