Reports claimed the pair were involved in a 'heated altercation' as the Selecao prepared to face Japan in a friendly in Tokyo on Monday, with pictures of the incident surfacing soon after.

It's unclear what sparked the incident, but one of the images shows Everton's Richarlison grabbing hold of Vinicius' shirt while the Real Madrid man, who scored Real Madrid's winning goal in last week's Champions League final against Liverpool, can be seen with his hand on the side of Richarlison's head in another.

Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar and Lucas Paqueta of Lyon were pictured attempting to defuse the situation.

Although, some have suggested the pictures were misinterpreted and the pair may actually have been fooling around, reports have said the pair had to be led in separate directions after it.
