Real Madrid win the race to sign Norwegian Martin Odegaard

Hard luck Liverpool fans

It’s over guys.

We can now stop writing about every move Martin Odegaard makes, because the 16-year-old “wonderkid” has finally completed his move to Real Madrid.

Every little detail of the kid’s life has been twisted to create a transfer rumour in the last couple of months, from the teams he picks on FIFA, to the stadiums he watches football.

He’s joined Real from Norwegian side Stronsgodset for what is believed to be around €3m, a fairly hefty investment in a lad who looks like he still hasn’t started shaving.

The European Champions confirmed the deal last night, saying: “Real Madrid C. F. and Stromsgodset Fotball have reached an agreement for the transfer of Martin Odegaard.

“After undergoing a medical exam, the player will hold a press conference with the director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, today 22 January at 1:30pm CET in the Ciudad Real Madrid press room.”

So there we have it. Another one bites the dust for Brendan Rodgers.
