Neymar’s red card brought a miserable afternoon to a close for PSG

Tunnel footage at Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 meeting with Lille on Saturday revealed that Neymar’s clash with Tiago Djalo continued after the pair had left the field having received red cards.

PSG were knocked off top spot by Lille, who won the game at the Parc des Princes by a single first-half strike from David.

Following a coming together in stoppage time, Neymar and Djalo, who had both been shown yellow cards earlier in the game, received second bookings.

The Brazilian had appeared to push Djalo after the ball had gone out of play, with the defender also seeing red soon after.

With the pair arguing as they left the field, cameras continued to follow them as they entered the players’ tunnel.

Although it’s unclear what was said, Neymar can be seen shoving Djalo, who then tries to get back at the Brazilian only to be held back.

The situation is swiftly defused by a number of coaches and officials following the pair back to their dressing rooms, with Neymar eventually escorted away.

Lille now sit three points clear of PSG at the Ligue 1 summit with both teams having played 31 games.

The loss could prove costly for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who are aiming to land the club’s fourth league title in succession.
