At the tail end of last summer’s transfer window, news that Manchester United were lumping a huge fee on some 19-year-old French kid who nobody had heard of was greeted with a fair amount of confusion.
A matter of months later, and Anthony Martial has proved a few of his doubters wrong already.
However, Manchester United’s striking options are still a little on the light side, with some suggesting that Louis van Gaal may want to address this in the January transfer window.
Yet again, it appears that he could be willing to take a chance on another exciting youngster.
Get French Football News, via the Express, claim that United have contacted Fulham about a potential move for Moussa Dembele, and could move for him soon to beat Bayern Munich – also said to be monitoring him.
Dembele is also 19 and has already notched up seven goals in the Championship this season.
