Out of date

With the ink still drying on a £265m Chinese investment in the club, Manchester City have even more money at their disposal.

But there’s a different kind of ink that has long-since dried which might cause an issue with some fans.

Some of City’s die-hard supporters have a reputation for their tattoos, so with the club confirming that they’re set to overhaul their current crest, it’s become apparent that some fans will be walking around with the old version of the club badge inked into their skin.

But Etihad supremos have been giving it some thought and The Sun report that club executives are discussing a remedy for these unlucky fans ahead of the badge being officially changed.

City are apparently ready to blow some of their new riches to offer fans free laser surgery to remove their outdated tattoos.

It’s good to see the money is not going to waste.
