The 31-year-old found the net from an acute angle with a powerful free-kick, giving United a 1-1 draw, and putting himself one goal ahead of club legend Charlton. However, some social media users weren't convinced that Rooney had intended to score. They argued that he had meant to cross to his teammates in the penalty area, but over-hit his effort and found the net.
