Liverpool vs Manchester United: What time is it on and where to watch it

Get ready

SportsJOE

This should be good.

Liverpool vs Manchester United is always one of the highlights of the Premier League season. And it helps when there’s a lot at stake, like there is on Sunday.

OK, the race for 4th place may not be the most glorious battle in the history of sport but it is vitally important to both clubs (and Louis van Gaal in particular) that they are in the Champions League next season.

The Manchester United manager desperately needs to quality for European football’s showpiece tournament next season otherwise he may as well kiss goodbye to his job.

The pressure is nowhere near as great on Jurgen Klopp, though if the German could somehow secure the Reds a place in the top four it would give his revolution at Anfield – which will behind in earnest this summer – a hugely solid base.

So what’s at stake?

Joe Allen’s last-minute goal against Arsenal on Wednesday closed the gap on Tottenham after they were beaten at home by Leicester. Liverpool are now five points off fourth spot, though they are back in ninth place and there’s a fair bit of congestion between them and the top four.

United are three places above Liverpool in sixth, two points behind fourth-placed Spurs, but with pressure mounting on Van Gaal they need to get back in that top four (and possibly higher) pretty sharpish.

Who are the favourites?

The bookies have Jurgen Klopp’s side as favourites at 5/4 while Manchester United are 12/5. You can get 21/10 on the draw.*

What time is it on?
