A week barely seems to go by without Lionel Messi slicing through a defence like a hot knife through butter.
Only a week ago, the diminutive Argentinian was making light work of negotiating his way through Celtic's back line as Barcelona welcomed the Scottish champions back to Champions League group stages with a 7-0 humbling at the Nou Camp. At the weekend, he chipped in with two more as Luis Enrique's side won 5-1 at Leganes. It's almost *too* easy for him.
And judging by the video below, Messi also has no trouble breezing through a defence comprising of his own club mates.
Barca's official YouTube channel shared the video which featured the 'Top 5 abilities' on show at a recent training session. As you've probably guessed, Messi's goal is at number one in the countdown.
Receiving the ball on the edge of the area, three defenders try and stop Messi who manages to squirm away from them before firing low into the far post from an acute angle. A typical Lionel Messi goal.

While his Barca teammates are faced with trying to stop him in every training session, they can consider themselves fortunate that cameras aren't always around to capture their failed attempts to do so.
