Leicester City fans reveal utterly bizarre banner at Sevilla match

We *think* we know who it's supposed to be...

Simon Lloyd

It’s been a funny old few weeks for those connected with Leicester City Football Club.

Not that anything they’ve seen in the last year has been anything close to normal, but still…

Claudio Ranieri, the man that guided the club to the league title success that nobody saw coming, is gone, given the boot by the  club’s increasingly nervy owners in a bid to save the club’s Premier League status.

For now, Craig Shakespeare is the man in charge at the King Power. Having taken the manager’s job on a temporary basis, he will remain at the helm until the end of the season – possibly longer if he can keep the club away from the relegation zone.

Having eased any fears of the drop by winning games against Liverpool and Hull, Leicester welcomed Sevilla on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

Seeing as this was the first – and quite possibly last – Champions League knock out tie to be played in Leicester, some fans decided it was the perfect opportunity to show off a big, fancy banner.

However, quite why they decided to depict their caretaker boss (or at least we think that’s who it’s supposed to be) holding a chain attached to an aggressive looking rottweiler is beyond us.

As some have pointed it out, it’s almost certainly to do with a line once written by some other bloke called Shakespeare, but still, it’s bloody awful.
