As though Liverpool fans needed another reason to miss Jurgen Klopp, Luton Town manager Rob Edwards has shared a new story about the 57-year-old that only adds to his legend.
Speaking on the High Performance Podcast, Edward recounted Luton's visit to Anfield during last season's Premier League campaign.
The Hatters, who were experiencing life in the top flight for the first time, were beaten 4-1 that night but how Klopp conducted himself afterwards left Edwards with something to go home smiling about despite the result.
"He was amazing. He put his arm around me when we walked in," explained Edwards.
"They beat us 4-1. We were 1-0 up at half-time, playing really well but ultimately they were too good.
"Anfield was amazing that night. It was brilliant.
"He came in after the game, he put his arm around me. We were looking at the picture of him with the Champions League trophy and he said 'How old are you?'
Edwards was 41. "He said 'When I was your age I was as far away from that trophy as you are now'.
"Then he started talking about how 'This can be your time now, I love what you're doing and how you're working with the team' and stuff.
"And I was like 'wow."
Although Luton ended up being relegated back down to the Championship, their fearless style of play - led by Ireland star Chiedozie Ogbene - won them many admirers.
Ultimately, they still exceeded many people's expectations by outperforming Burnley and Sheffield United, despite their modest budget and facilities.
Liverpool operate at the other end of the league table - which brings its own pressures - but Klopp still made plenty of time to chat with Edwards and encourage him for the years ahead.
"It was really really nice to sit down with him and have a bit of time because I know they're incredibly busy and there's a lot of demands on them (Liverpool) as well," said Edwards".
"So for him to give that time...it means a lot to me."
