Joe Hart given hero’s welcome as he shows off Torino shirt to supporters

It's over... for now

Simon Lloyd

Ah, good. Now we can stop banging on about what the future holds for Joe Hart.

Having had his nose pushed out by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, the England goalkeeper is a Torino player… for a season at least.

After reports linking him with a move down to Everton proved to be wide of the mark, news broke on Monday evening that Hart had been given permission by the FA to leave England’s training camp and travel to Italy to complete a one-year loan deal with the Serie A club.

Less than 24-hours later, he’s appearing on a Turin balcony holding aloft his new team’s shirt.

As the video below shows, Torino’s fans don’t seem in the least bit arsed that the 29-year-old supposedly can’t pass a ball out of his own penalty area. They can be heard repeatedly chanting their new goalkeeper’s name as he poses for official club photographs in the window of the club’s headquarters.

Many City supporters found the sight difficult to take…

Prior to all this, Hart was also given a warm reception as he arrived in Turin.

Hart, who hasn’t featured in City’s opening three league matches this season, will be replaced by Claudio Bravo, who recently moved to Manchester from Barcelona.

Although the Chilean didn’t feature in the weekend win over West Ham, he’s expected to make his debut in the first game back after the international break… which just so happens to be the Manchester derby.
