Man United fans are raving about 14-year-old son of ex-Ireland star

He is some talent!

JJ Gabriel has been the most talked about young talent at Man United over the past few weeks.

The 14-year-old has been lighting up for the U18s side, and is currently the second-highest scorer in this season’s U18 Premier League, with five goals.

Such is the hype that last month it was reported that he would be called up to train with Ruben Amorim’s first team, alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo.

It had been speculated that Amorim would go as far as to consider Gabriel for a first-team debut, but it was reported by GIVEMESPORT’s Steve Bates that the manager would not be ‘entertaining the possibility’.

Gabriel is the son of former Ireland defender Joe O’Cearuill, who won two caps for the Boys in Green during their 2007 tour to the United States, against Ecuador and Bolivia.

O’Cearuill also lined out for St Pat’s and Brighton during his career.

Gabriel, however, has already played up for England, his country of birth, at U15s level.

From an Ireland perspective it looks like another supremely talented and qualified youngster who we will have to look at through the shop window.
