Ireland have named a 26-man squad.

Stephen Kenny has named his Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Portugal and Luxembourg.

The Boys in Green are out of contention to qualify for next year’s tournament in Qatar, but they can still finish the campaign on a high.

Ireland will take on Portugal at a sold-out Aviva Stadium next Thursday (November 11), the first time they have played in front of a capacity crowd in Dublin since November 2019.

Kenny’s side then travel to Luxembourg to finish their qualification campaign on Sunday, November 14.

After winning both of their games in October in convincing fashion – a 3-0 victory over Azerbaijan and a 4-0 win against Qatar – Ireland will be hoping to record two positive results this month.

Portugal narrowly beat them in September, thanks to two very late Cristiano Ronaldo goals. While Luxembourg recorded a 1-0 victory over Ireland back in March at the Aviva Stadium.
