With this in mind, you can probably guess how the people of Wales reacted to him uttering the word “we” when talking about England during ITV’s coverage of their World Cup group game with Belgium on Thursday night.
Discussing the performance of Marcus Rashford, the 44-year-old said: “In that number 10 position, Rashford’s dropping in, but can we get Loftus-Cheek in that little number 10 position?”

Although most pointed out that Giggs was probably just speaking as if in the position of one of the England coaching set-up, others were angered.

England will now face a last 16 game with Colombia next Tuesday with Belgium set to take on Japan a day earlier.
