FIFA don’t want any of your ideas on how to fix FIFA, thanks very much

Button it

To paraphrase: Thanks for your help, but we don’t want your help.

Sepp Blatter is currently holded up in FIFA’s Zurich headquarters and, despite stepping down as president, is working diligently to clean up the controversy-ridden footballing body.

There has been a three-week focus on FIFA ever since the FBI swooped to arrest six senior members of the organisation on corruption and racketeering charges.

FIFA has declared it will immediately endeavour to clean house.

To that end, many members of the public – experts and amateurs – have sent along their ideas and submissions about how to best clean up the game.

Such has been the avalanche of helpful tips, advice and emails that FIFA was pressed into sending this email on ‘unsolicited submissions’. The policy was included on their website earlier this year but, today, FIFA decided to flag it again.

Our favourite line is, ‘In the event that FIFA receives an unsolicited submission, the submitting person or entity agrees that they are not entitled to any compensation, credit or notice whatsoever.’

Shame. We had a big ‘FIX’N FIFA’ email all typed and ready to send off.
