Andre Onana has taken full responsibility after he conceded a goal from the halfway line during his Old Trafford debut for Manchester United.
The Cameroonian keeper was making his first appearance at the Theatre of Dreams since joining the English giants from Inter Milan for £43.8m, in July.
United were taking on French side RC Lens in their penultimate pre-season friendly before the start of the Premier League next weekend.
In the 35th minute, Lens’ Florian Sotoca decided to try his luck from the centre circle after seeing Onana off his line. And his perfectly weighted effort had the keeper scrambling as it floated over his head and into the back of the net.

'I take all the criticism, all the pressure on me' - Andre Onana
Speaking after the game though, the 27-year-old took full responsibility for the goal, leading to praise from some fans about his mentality.
He told MUTV: “I’m happy for the win. Of course we can always be better.
“Some things we have to try to fix. Like I always say, I am responsible for everything especially when we concede goals.
“I’m the big man at the back so I take all the criticism, all the pressure on me. It was a great game for me and for the guys, some important goals and I’m happy for everything.”
Taking to social media, some fans were glad to hear Andre Onana own his mistake, believing this to be proof he has the right mindset to succeed at United.
