Paulie Malignaggi’s response to new sparring footage leak was very predictable

Exactly as expected

And sure enough, Paulie Malignaggi has responded to the new leaked footage from his sparring session with Conor McGregor.

As an added to teaser for ‘the Money Fight’ on Sunday morning, some fresh footage of Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi’s 20 rounds of sparring was leaked on Friday.

Unsurprisingly, the man who needs to be hyped up and promoted for the fight looked pretty damn good in the new clips. McGregor was beating the former world champion boxer to the punch, slipping haymakers and overall, looked like the fresher, fitter fighter in the ring.

Just like about everyone else on planet Earth, Malignaggi has seen the footage. He gave his assessment of it to FightHype.com and unsurprisingly, he wasn’t shocked by what he had seen.

“You know they have no consecutive running footage. It’s the same thing. I think this time they really got everything they could have had. I really had a hard time remembering anything else. A lot of those things were things that I was thinking about, but a lot of it is repeat footage. (It’s) the last of any remaining footage that they had.”

He pointed out that this footage represents a very short snapshot of the overall session. he estimates that there are about 35 minutes that people haven’t seen yet, which is something worth giggling about.

“I just got to laugh about it. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, It’s cute. He’s trying so hard to make everyone believe in him and make everybody believe that he can win this fight. Between he and I, we know what really happened in that sparring to begin with.”

“It’s adorable. He’s like the little engine that could. He’s trying so hard like ‘Root for me, man! I can do this. I can do this.’ You’ll get your chance Saturday night, my man. Don’t forget your balls. You don’t want to forget those, like you tend to do.”

Whoever’s bending the truth here is going to look very silly once the full footage gets released.
