It’s tough out there for a manager.

With Steve Clarke being sacked by Reading and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink leaving Burton for QPR, some 25 bosses have now left their jobs with Premier League or Football League clubs since the start of the season.

Normally we’ve had to wait until after Christmas for the milestone to be reached – both of the last two seasons have seen the 25th departure come the day after Boxing Day.

Is it a sign of owners losing patience?

The 25th managerial departure of the season
