Adrien Broner has landed himself in it again for an incredibly stupid reason.
The three-time world champion put on a clinic on Saturday night, taking a unanimous decision victory over John Molina Jr. The judges scored the contest 120-108, 120-108, 118-110 in favour of Broner.
With the win, the 25-year-old’s professional record stands at 30-1-0, with 22 of his wins coming via KO.
However, during the post-fight interview he made some comments that got the boxing world hemming and hawing with disapproval. Broner sent out a message to the rest of the division before being swiftly cut off by the ring announcer.
I’ve said it before. Anyone CAN get it. AfriCANS, MexiCANS…
If you’re feeling a sense of de ja vu it’s because Broner has gotten in trouble over saying the exact same phrase after beating Carlos Molina in May. Â The World Boxing Council suspended him for a few months for the incident and he may face similar repercussions this time around.
