If Irish people love one thing though, it is being Irish and what better expression of that Irishness than a clash of the ash between two passionate counties trying desperately to bridge decades of hurt?

And roll up, they did. Drool, they did. Wince, they did. From renowned journalists to professional sportsmen, Galway v Waterford in The Battle For Liam was their first experience of hurling and what an experience it must’ve been.
Their reactions were nothing we haven’t seen before but it wouldn’t be like us to skim over praise for the Irish. Besides, the reactions to the reactions were even better.
