If you're going make a very public facial hair statement, you have to be able to back it up

Italian high-jumper Gianmarco Tamberi is competing in today's men's final at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Prague, but whatever his result, he will undoubtedly be remembered more for the stunning decision made in front of the mirror this morning. Whatever the reason, and we reckon the commentator's presumption that Tamberi may have lost a bet, if you are going to appear in public looking like that you'd better perform. Unfortunately for Tamberi, he got about as close to clearing the bar as he did to completing his shave.
