Vine: Novak Djokovic narrowly avoided losing an eye after celebrating Rome Masters win

Homeworld of sport

After so many wins, you'd imagine he should know how to open a bloody bottle of suds.

Novak Djokovic celebrated his 53rd professional title yesterday by winning the Rome Masters, but while he's undoubtedly an all-time great, the weakest aspect of his game is quite clearly his ability to celebrate. Trying to open a bottle of champers after yesterday's victory over Roger Federer, Djokovic made the rookie error of staring down at the bottle as he twisted off the wire, and naturally the cork came flying back in his direction. It could have been far more serious though, as the cork narrowly avoided his eye by centimetres, instead cracking him on the forehead. So if you've learned something from this Novak, never ever go hunting.
